Newnan Carnegie Library Teams Up with Piedmont Fitness for a Health-Boosting Workout! Exercise is Medicine

Get a jump on the New Year and plan ahead to start shedding those extra Christmas pounds! The Newnan Carnegie Library, in collaboration with The Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation and Piedmont Fitness, is thrilled to announce a special fitness event, the "Exercise is Medicine" class. Set to take place on December 27, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, this class offers a unique opportunity for community members to engage in a health-boosting workout, completely free of charge. The event will be held at the library's inviting location at 1 LaGrange Street, Newnan, GA 30263.

Guided by a skilled instructor, this exercise session is not just about breaking a sweat, but also about experiencing the joys and benefits of physical fitness. Brought to you by Foundation Christian Church, it is set to take place on Friday, December 22nd, this free concert offers an ideal opportunity for adults to enjoy a Christmas Night Out without the kids. The event will be hosted at Newnan High School Gymnasium, 36 Waterworks Rd, Newnan, GA

Attendees can look forward to an array of food trucks, available from 6:00 PM, providing a variety of tasty delights. The concert itself will commence at 7:00 PM, featuring merry tunes and a joyful ambiance, perfect for getting into the holiday spirit. For just $25, you can enjoy 30 minutes of ice skating, including skate rental, at the A & O Bridges Community Center, located at 105 Main St, Sharpsburg, GA 30277. This wonderful winter activity is available daily from 9 am to 5 pm, and is suitable for all ages, including special slots for small children in the mornings, complete with skate assist mechanism

Mark your calendars: Friday is exclusively for ice skating, while Saturday combines ice skating with the joy of Winterfest! On Saturday, from 9 am to 4 pm, enjoy a range of no-cost family activities, including food trucks, a coffee truck, gift vendors, and much more. Skating is available until 5 pm.
