Bullsboro Drive Temporarily Closed Following Tractor-Trailer Fire

artist conception

A significant incident disrupted traffic on Bullsboro Drive on Tuesday morning when a tractor-trailer heading to Yamaha experienced a brake fire at 9:21 a.m. Battalion Chief Don Pickford of Coweta County Fire Rescue reported that the fire initially ignited in the vehicle's brakes before quickly spreading to the rear tires. Fortunately, rapid response from firefighters, including teams from Coweta County Fire Rescue and Newnan Fire, allowed for swift control and extinguishment of the blaze. Remarkably, there were no injuries reported, and the contents of the trailer remained unscathed. The fire response necessitated the temporary closure of both lanes on Bullsboro Drive, impacting traffic in the area.
