NGO Luncheon to Feature Attorney’s Expertise on Estate Planning

For over four decades, the Never Grow Old (NGO) group, a part of the First Baptist Church of Newnan, has been a staple in the community, welcoming seniors from all denominations. They regularly gather on the first Thursday of each month from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall at the church, located at 15 West Washington Street in Newnan, Georgia. The upcoming gathering, slated for February 1, 2024, promises an enriching experience from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This event, like all NGO luncheons, is complimentary, with the organization providing fried chicken and tea. Attendees are encouraged, though not obligated, to contribute a covered dish or dessert. The focus is on fostering a sense of community through food, fun, and fellowship.

Highlighting the event is guest speaker Matthew Hammett, a seasoned attorney from Coweta County and an alumnus of Emory University School of Law. Hammett's presentation will delve into the crucial topic of estate planning, elucidating key legal documents such as wills, powers of attorney, and advanced healthcare directives (Living Wills). His insights will aim to demystify these documents and offer guidance on their creation.

For additional details or inquiries, Larry Corley, the President of NGO, can be contacted at 678-699-9003 or via email at [email protected].
