False Gun Alarm Triggers Brief Lockdown at Central Educational Center

A lockdown was initiated at the Central Educational Center due to a reported threat of a student carrying a gun, which turned out to be a misidentified toy gun keychain. The Newnan Police Department responded swiftly, and normal operations were resumed shortly after confirming the false alarm. No harmful intentions were found from either the student who brought the toy keychain or the one who reported it. The incident underscores the efficiency of the school and law enforcement's emergency procedures, though it remains to be seen if any disciplinary actions will be taken, but it is unlikely.
